Our JROTC Raiders are at the Area 9 meet today in Bryan Co. Two of our raiders were named Best Raiders —congratulations to Abbigail Hall and Marshall Myers! And our Male Mixed team won first place in the Region!!! Way to go Raiders!!

Candler County Schools personnel, along with other leaders on the community, traveled to the State of the Ports today as Georgia Ports Authority leaders presented an update on the port’s $1.9 billion master plan and infrastructure investments. Georgia Ports provides one of the nation’s best-connected port operations, with 35 weekly ocean carrier services, additional terminal capacity and land available in Georgia to attract new business. Georgia’s ports and inland terminals support more than 561,000 jobs throughout the state annually, and contribute $33 billion in income, $140 billion in revenue and $3.8 billion in state and local taxes to Georgia’s economy.

MMS Lady Tigers are headed to the 🥎 CHAMPIONSHIP🥎. After their win 11-3 against Bryan County, the championship game will be Saturday at 10 am in Toombs County. 🏆

NOTICE!!! The last day for 7th grade shots (updated immunizations) will be Friday, September 29th. Round 1 of the Playoffs complete. Metter Middle School Lady Tigers win 16-1 after the 3rd inning against North Tattnall. 💪💪 on to the Semifinals on Thursday at HOME!!! 🐅🏆 Go Tigers! Offensively the team was lead by Zailee Thurman and Judson Vining who each had 4 RBI on the day. Emma West and Maddie White also added 2 RBI. Althea Reichard and Brook Lawrence each had 1. Kirsten Shuman added a hit as well. Defensively the Tigers were lead by Judson Vining who collected 8 strikeouts while only giving up 2 hits. Great game Tigers! Keep grinding! Keep working hard!
