The “Tiger 10 All In”, a group of local gentlemen with a passion for supporting the Metter Tiger Football Team, have raised over $36,000 by hosting a large raffle recently.
For those unfamiliar, local school systems face constraints in allocating funds towards athletic necessities such as equipment and uniforms. Consequently, groups like the “Tiger 10 All In” and organizations like the Metter Booster Club play a pivotal role in bridging this financial gap.
Comprised of dedicated locals Tommy Hunt, Matt Brown, Bobby Heath, Logan Lanier, Brian Tootle, Stephen Brantley, David “Red” Dickerson, Chuck Turner, Steven Bryant, and Chase Shuman, the”Tiger 10 All In” worked diligently to secure hunting trips and equipment that were donated for the raffle.
The lucky winners were Allen Thigpen-Deer/Quail Hunt; Jeffrey Sikes-Christensen firearm; Joey Pittman-Benelli firearm; Tommy Hunt-Kimber America firearm; Steven Bryant-Rugar firearm; and Mitchell Cason-firearms safe. The raffle winners were drawn by Dr. Bubba Longgrear, Superintendent, with witnesses Michael Cliett, Tommy Hunt and Louis Quinones ensuring transparency and fairness in the raffle process.
“The Tiger Football team, and the Candler County School District, are very appreciative of the ‘Tiger 10 All In’ group, and others like them, who want the best for our student athletes and work hard to provide quality equipment for our teams so they can ‘Win at Everything’,” says Dr. Longgrear.
